In 1999 my husband and I purchased a summer home in Portsmouth. Along with our 3 dogs we felt it important to find a local veterinarian as a secondary source for our animal care or emergencies while in Portsmouth, with the intention of keeping our veterinarian in the Boston area. We had been with our veterinarian for 17 years and very happy with the care our animals got over the years.

Within a short period we realized the care we got from Dr. Braga and her outstanding team was far superior than our Boston Vet. We were no longer just a number, Dr. Braga’s personal care along with her knowledge of veterinarian medicine, made the easy choice as animal lovers to see we would get superior care with The Island Vet office.

Over the years Dr. Braga and her team have taken care of our difficult decisions with great compassion and has kept our current 4 dogs ages 3 to 15 in great health. My husband and I now have piece of mind that we made the right decision.

Our Boston veterinarian is now our secondary vet.
